Plan for the Development of the Collective Economy and Cooperatives in Binh Thuan Province for 2025

(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyễn Hồng Hải, has just issued the Plan for the Development of the Collective Economy and Cooperatives in Binh Thuan Province for 2025.

Accordingly, the goal of the Plan is to develop the collective economy sustainably, contributing to socio-economic development. The construction and development of the collective economy must be linked to the socio-economic development program of the locality. It aims to diversify the types of cooperatives and establish new cooperative models connected to the development of value chains for key products and goods with competitive advantages. Emphasis will be placed on building cooperatives that operate within these value chains, enhancing the quality and efficiency of production and business activities in accordance with local climate, soil conditions, and culture. The plan seeks to attract many farmers and households to participate in the collective economy and cooperatives. Ultimately, it aims to make the collective economy one of the economic components that benefit participants, especially farmers, and contribute to ensuring social security in the locality.

Specifically, in 2025, Binh Thuan Province will establish 10 new cooperatives; the average revenue of cooperatives is projected to be 2.25 billion VND per year; the average income of workers within the cooperatives is expected to be 6 million VND per month; the percentage of cooperative staff with intermediate vocational training or higher will reach 54%; and the proportion of agricultural cooperatives applying high technology will account for 12% of the total number of cooperatives in the agricultural sector.

To achieve the goals for the development of the collective economy and cooperatives in 2025, the Provincial People's Committee has proposed numerous solutions, focusing on measures to strengthen the system of guiding documents for the implementation of the Law on Cooperatives 2023; promoting awareness and training regarding the Law on Cooperatives while enhancing human resources; implementing support policies and incentives for cooperative development; improving the operational efficiency of the collective economy and cooperatives; strengthening state management of the collective economy; and mobilizing social forces as well as domestic and international organizations to participate in promoting the development of the collective economy.
