Executing the direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for fire fighting
and rescue practice plan, the Provincial Public Security has recently organized
a practice plan for fire fighting and rescue in coordination with many forces
to handle emergency situation of major fire fighting at Hoa Phu petroleum
transshipment depot belonging to Duong Dong Group Joint Stock Company, located
in Phan Ri Cua town, Tuy Phong district.
According to the
plan, the Provincial Public Security coordinated with relevant agencies, units
and localities to mobilize more than 200 officers, soldiers and staffs of the
Provincial Public Security, the grassroots fire fighting force of Duong Dong
Group Joint Stock Company, Police of Phan Ri Cua Town, Phan Ri Fire Team,
Doctors of Tuy Phong District and Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of Ninh
Thuan Provincial Public Security.

The coordination of
firefighting at the transshipment depot is carried out in 4 stages, from the
time the fire unit at the depot detects the fire and conducts firefighting,
then in turn with the participation of the Phan Ri fire prevention and fighting
police, deploying the firefighting at the dike’s foot as soon as there are
sufficient forces and vehicles, and extinguishing the fire completely on the storage
tank T9.
The firefighting plan
deployed by the forces is ensured safety for the petroleum transshipment depot,
people and vehicles participating in the exercise.
