Prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods during Lunar New Year 2022

The Provincial Steering Committee for prevention of smuggling, trade fraud and
counterfeit goods has just issued a Peak Plan to combat smuggling, trade fraud
and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2022.
The time to implement
the peak month against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before,
during and after the Lunar New Year in 2022 is from December 01, 2021 to
February 20, 2022.
According to the
plan, the Provincial Market Surveillance Agency must focus on inspecting,
detecting and handling acts of trading in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods,
banned goods, poor quality goods, and fraudulent goods of origin; acts of
infringing upon intellectual property rights; violations in the field of
e-commerce, food safety, price...; inspecting food products, foodstuffs,
fertilizers, gasoline, sugar, smuggled cigarettes, cosmetics, functional foods,
and consumer goods of poor quality affecting people's lives; items related to Covid-19
prevention and control.
People's Committees
of districts, town and city must strengthen the management of the area, closely
coordinate with functional forces, promptly detect, prevent or coordinate to
prevent the acts of trafficking and transporting banned goods, smuggled goods,
counterfeit goods, goods infringing intellectual property. Regularly monitoring
the market situation, reviewing the supply and demand of goods, especially
essential items for Lunar New Year to prevent speculation, sudden price increases
or spreading false information causing damages to consumers.
