Prevention plan for infectious diseases in Binh Thuan province in 2022

Department of Health has just issued plan to prevent and control infectious
diseases in Binh Thuan province in 2022.
Accordingly, the plan
aims to reduce the incidence and mortality from infectious diseases by 5-10%
compared to the annual average in the period 2016-2020. Timely controlling and
preventing disease outbreaks to contribute to the protection, care and
improvement of people's health and socio-economic development.
For specific
objectives: Close monitoring, early detecting, quick responding and thorough
handling the outbreaks to reduce the number of infections and deaths, timely
preventing the dangerous infectious diseases to infiltrate into the province.
Besides, due to
climate change, the awareness of disease prevention has not been paid proper
attention in the community... other infectious diseases continue to circulate,
threatening epidemic outbreaks with high mortality anywhere at any time, such
as endemic diseases: Dengue fever, Malaria, Hand - Foot - Mouth disease and
Measles. In 2021, except for COVID-19 epidemic, most infectious diseases
decreased compared to the same period in 2020./.
