According to the newsletter of the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, from December 6-7, 2023, the Gulf of Tonkin, the northern, middle and western areas of the South East Sea, the sea area from Quang Ngai to Ca Mau will soon be wind level 6, gusts level 7-8; the area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and the Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there will be possibilities of tornadoes and wind gusts of level 7-8.

In order to proactively respond to strong winds at sea, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue has requested the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue of coastal districts, towns and city; Heads of relevant agencies and units to closely monitor information and developments of strong winds at sea; Notify captains, owners of vehicles and boats operating at sea to proactively prevent and prevent appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; Maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur; Arrange rescue forces and means ready to promptly handle any situation.

The Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue also requested the Provincial Hydro-meteorological Station to closely monitor developments of strong winds at sea and promptly notify authorities at all levels in the coastal areas, owners of boats operating at sea and people in the community know to proactively respond and prevent.
