Quarter I of 2022: Traffic accidents reduced all 3 criteria in terms of cases, deaths and injured people

According to the Provincial Traffic Safety Board, in the first quarter of 2022,
traffic accidents in the province were reduced by over 35% in all three
criteria in terms of number of cases, number of deaths and number of injuries.
In the first quarter
of 2022, the province recorded 60 traffic accidents, killing 42 people and
injuring 31 people. Compared to the same period in 2021, it reduced 33 cases
(-35.5%), 25 deaths (-37.3%) and 22 injured people (-41.5%).
The functional forces
have increased patrolling, controlling and handling 8,345 cases of violations
of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, the railway safety corridor; the total amount
of fines for administrative violations in the field of road and railway traffic
was more than 10.7 billion VND. Through the traffic surveillance camera system
on National Highway 1A, the provincial traffic police force has stopped and
sanctioned on the spot more than 1,108 violations and sent violation notices to
12,461 cases; handled 22 cases of vehicle drivers violating alcohol
concentration; handled 142 cases of overloaded trucks.
