I. EPIDEMIC SITUATION

1. In Vietnam

- Total: 1.851 cases / 46 provinces and cities, in which:

+ Recovered and discharged: 1.460 cases.

+ Under treatment: 356 cases.

+ 35 deaths.

Number of new COVID-19 infections in the community from 27/01/2021 to 14h00, 02/02/2021 is 271, of which, Hai Duong: 206, Quang Ninh: 30, Hanoi: 19, Gia Lai: 06, Hai Phong: 01, Bac Ninh: 03, Hoa Binh: 02, Ho Chi Minh City: 01, Binh Duong: 02, Bac Giang: 01.

2. In Binh Thuan province

Up to now, Binh Thuan province has gone through 326 consecutive days without any case of COVID-19 infection.

Currently, there are 03 cases isolated at the centralized isolation facilities, including: Ham Tan: 02, La Gi: 01. They are all in stable health.

II. DEPLOYMENT OF DISEASE PREVENTION IN BINH THUAN

1. Deployment results from 16h00, 01/02/2021 to now:

1.1. Directions of Central Government, Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee, Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

On 01/02/2021, the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID- 19 Prevention and Control issued: Dispatch No. 359/CV-BCD on the coordination of tracing the follow-ups of COVID-19 cases in Binh Duong and Dispatch No. 360/CV-BCĐ on the coordination of tracing for cases traveling with the female student of Thu Dau Mot Binh Duong University to Tan Thang commune.

1.2. Professional works

- Number of sample taken/tested from 16:00, 01/02/2021 to 16:00, 02/02/2021 is 79/79 (accumulated 275/275 samples).

Negative test results: 79 samples (accumulated 275 samples)

- Number of citizens return to Binh Thuan from 16h00 on 01/02//2021 to 16h00 on02/02/2021: 23 cases / 23 samples, accumulated 113 cases / 113 samples.

+ from Binh Duong: 17 cases / 17 samples.

+ from Quảng Ninh, Hai Duong: 03 cases / 03 samples.

+ from other provinces: 03 cases / 03 samples.

There are 03 cases isolated at the centralized isolation facilities, and 110 cases isolated at homes. They are all in stable health.

2. Propaganda works

- Continuing to propagate the situation of acute respiratory infections caused by Covid-19 in the entire province on website of the Department of Health, Binh Thuan Health information page, Newspapers, Provincial Radio and Television Station.

- Coordinating with the Provincial Public Security Department continuously to monitor the information on social networks to promptly rectify and handle any case of inaccuracy, false or untrue information on the epidemic.

- Binh Thuan Radio – Television Station updated, broadcasted 01 report and 04 articles on COVID-19 prevention and control in afternoon and evening news on both television and radio channels, in particular: the Provincial People’s Committee held an online meeting on COVID-19 prevention and control; 03 cases having close contact with COVID-19 patient number 1843; Dispatch no 359/CV-BCD dated 01/02/2021 of Binh Thuan Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the coordination of tracing the follow-ups of COVID-19 cases in Binh Duong; updates on COVID-19 of 02/02/2021; the education sector to implement measures on COVID-19 prevention and control.

3. Deployment results of epidemic prevention by departments, agencies, localities and the management of tourists in Binh Thuan

- Conducting the Dispatch no 400/UBND-KGVXNV dated 29/01/2021 of the Provincial People’s Committee on the deployment of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention; Implementing the 5K measure; reviewing, propagating and request the civil servants, officials, employees and their relatives (if any) coming back from the epidemic areas, especialy Quang Ninh and Hai Dương from 13/01/2021 to conduct the medical declaration at the nearest local health agencies; procatively notifying the local health agencies, local authorities if detecting people returning from Quang Ninh, Hai Duong or in concern with locations, cases of close contact with COVID-19 patients.

- Strengthening the communication, and monitoring health at home, conducting medical declaration for cases coming back home from abroad and epidemic areas, especially Hai Duong and Quang Ninh in order to have timely solutions to avoid spreading the epidemic to the community.

III. WORKS TO BE CONTINUATED IN THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF EPIDEMIC

1. Continuing to implement the guiding documents of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control.

2. Implementing the Announcement no 22/TB-VPCP dated 30/01/2021 of the Government Office on the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Standing Government’s meeting on COVID-19 prevention and control; Directive no 05/CT-TTg dated 28/01/2021 of the Prime Minister on several urgent measures for COVID-19 prevention and control; Telegram no 95/CD-BYT dated 28/01/2021 of the Ministry of Health on investigation and handling of the COVID-19 outbreaks in the provinces and cities; Telegram no 97/CD-BYT dated 29/01/2021 of the Ministry of Health on strengthening drastically the measures on COVID-19 prevention in medical examination and treatment establishments; Dispatch no 400/UBND-KGVXNV dated 29/01/2021 of the Provincial People’s Committee on the deployment of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention.

3. Reviewing, tracing, managing and isolating cases of travelling to and from places with high risk of infection (especially from the northern provinces, such as Quang Ninh and Hai Duong) as guided by the National Steering Committee and the Ministry of Health; taking samples for early detection of infection cases to avoid spreading the disease out to the community, and requesting all of these cases to immediately conduct the medical declaration for monitoring and updating health status.

4. Strengthening the supervision and management of the concetrated isolation zones.

5. Strengthening the implementation of COVID-19 prevention measures in the treatment facilities. Strengthening the monitorization of cases with respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, difficul breathing, ... to detect early cases of infection that can enter the hospital from the community.

6. Strengthening the communication and guidance for the community to understand and comply with the recommendations from the health authorities; strictly implementing the preventive measures as 5K message (mask – disinfection – distance – not gather – health declaration); Applicating the information technology in investigating, tracing and managing COVID-19 infection chain.

7. Monitoring closely the epidemic situation to proactively advice the Provincial People’s Committee to handle any arising situation.

8. Maintaing the medical examination at the train stations and bus stations in the province./.
