QUICK REPORT

on COVID-19 situation 2021

(from 16h00, 04/02/2021 to 16h00, 05/02/2021)

 

I. EPIDEMIC SITUATION

1. In Vietnam

- Total: 1.957 cases / 46 provinces and cities, in which:

+ Recovered and discharged: 1.465 cases.

+ Under treatment: 457 cases.

+ 35 deaths.

According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, as of 14h00 on 05/02/2021, Vietnam has 1.068 COVID-19 infected domestically, in which, the number of new infections in the community from 27/01/2021 to 14h00, 05/02/2021 is 375 (Hai Duong: 278, Quang Ninh: 44, Hanoi: 22, Gia Lai: 18, Hai Phong: 01, Bac Ninh: 03, Hoa Binh: 02, Ho Chi Minh City: 01, Binh Duong: 05, Bac Giang: 01).

2. In Binh Thuan province

Up to now, Binh Thuan province has gone through 330 consecutive days without any case of COVID-19 infection.

Currently, there are 08 cases isolated at the isolation facilities, including:

  • 05 cases at the centralized isolation facilities (Ham Tan: 03, La Gi: 02).
  • 01 case at the Southern Regional Generral Hospital.
  • 02 cases at Ham Tan Medical Center

There are 226 cases isolated at homes, with stable health.

II. DEPLOYMENT OF DISEASE PREVENTION IN BINH THUAN

1. Deployment results from 16h00, 04/02/2021 to now:

1.1. Directions of Central Government, Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee, Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Dispatch no 494CV-BCD dated 04/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures.

1.2. Professional works

On 05/02//2021, Paster Nha Trang Institute issued Decision no 287/QĐ-IPN on the accreditation of the laboratory allowed in confirming SARS-CoV-2 positive cases to the Provincial Center for Disease Control.

- Number of sample taken from 16:00, 04/02/2021 to 16:00, 05/02/2021 is 33, accumulated 481 samples.

- Number of sample tested from 16:00, 04/02/2021 to 16:00, 05/02/2021 is 06, with negative results. Accumulation for tested samples: 454 with negative results.

- Number of citizens return to Binh Thuan from 16h00 on 04/02//2021 to 16h00 on 05/02/2021: 27 cases, including 02 samples with negative results, in particular:

+ from Binh Duong: 15 cases, 0 tested / 12 samples.

+ from Gia Lai: 04 cases, 0 tested / 02 samples.

+ from other provinces: 05 cases, 0 tested / 05 samples.

+ flight VN 7245: 02 case, 01 tested / 02 samples.

+ second tested samples: 01 cases: 0 tested / 01 sample.

2. Propaganda works

- Continuing to propagate the situation of acute respiratory infections caused by Covid-19 in the entire province on website of the Department of Health, Binh Thuan Health information page, Newspapers, Provincial Radio and Television Station.

- Coordinating with the Provincial Public Security Department continuously to monitor the information on social networks to promptly rectify and handle any case of inaccuracy, false or untrue information on the epidemic.

- Binh Thuan Radio – Television Station updated, broadcasted 01 TV report and 07 articles on COVID-19 prevention and control in afternoon and evening news on both television and radio channels, in particular: updates on COVID-19 in 05/02/2021; Dispatch no 494CV-BCD dated 04/02/2021 of Binh Thuan Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures; The health sector to coordinate with the Provincial Military Command to inspect the centralized isolation facilities in Ham Thuan Bac district and Phan Thiet city; Dispatch no 33/BTG-NV dated 03/02/2021 of Binh Thuan Committee for religious affairs (Department of Home Affairs) on continuing to implement urgent measure to prevent and control COVID-19 for the religious organizations in the province to continue to coordinate in the epidemic prevention; suspend all passenger transportation from Binh Thuan to Gia Lai; List of localities in need of anti-epidemic measures; TV report on strengthening the epidemic prevention measures.

3. Deployment results of epidemic prevention by departments, agencies, localities and the management of tourists in Binh Thuan

- Conducting the Dispatch no 400/UBND-KGVXNV dated 29/01/2021 of the Provincial People’s Committee on the deployment of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention and control; Dispatch no 446/UBND-KGVXNV dated 02/02/2021 of the PPC on continuing to implement the urgent COVID-19 prevention and control measures, and Dispatch no 494CV-BCD dated 04/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures.

- Strengthening the communication, and monitoring health at home, conducting medical declaration for cases coming back home from abroad and epidemic areas, especially Hai Duong and Quang Ninh, Binh Duong and Gia Lai in order to have timely solutions to avoid spreading the epidemic to the community.

III. WORKS TO BE CONTINUATED IN THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF EPIDEMIC

1. Continuing to implement the guiding documents of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control, of which: Directive no 05/CT-TTg dated 28/01/2021 of the Prime Minister on several urgent measures for COVID-19 prevention and control; Announcement no 22/TB-VPCP dated 30/01/2021 of the Government Office on the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Standing Government’s meeting on COVID-19 prevention and control; Telegram no 95/CD-BYT dated 28/01/2021 of the Ministry of Health on investigation and handling of the COVID-19 outbreaks in the provinces and cities; Dispatch no 400/UBND-KGVXNV dated 29/01/2021 of the Provincial People’s Committee on the deployment of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention and control; Dispatch no 446/UBND-KGVXNV dated 02/02/2021 of the PPC on continuing to implement the urgent COVID-19 prevention and control measures, and Dispatch no 494CV-BCD dated 04/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures.

2. Urgently reviewing, tracing, managing and isolating cases of travelling to and from places with high risk of infection (according to the list attached to the Dispatch no 494CV-BCD dated 04/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures); taking samples for early detection of infection cases to avoid spreading the disease out to the community.

3. Strengthening the supervision and management of the concentrated isolation zones.

4. Strengthening the implementation of COVID-19 prevention measures in the treatment facilities; the communication and guidance for the community to understand and comply with the recommendations from the health authorities; strictly implementing the preventive measures as 5K message (mask – disinfection – distance – not gather – health declaration); Applicating the information technology in investigating, tracing and managing COVID-19 infection chain.

5. Monitoring closely the epidemic situation to proactively advice the Provincial People’s Committee to handle any arising situation.

6. Maintaing the medical examination at the train stations and bus stations in the province; preparing the quarantine plans (ready in case of large number of F1 in the community) and plans for zoning, isolating at the localities./.
