on COVID-19 situation 2021

I. EPIDEMIC SITUATION
1. Vietnam
- Total: 3.245 cases / 49 provinces and cities, in which:
+ Recovered and
discharged: 2.602 cases.
+ Under
treatment: 608 cases.
+ 35 deaths.
According to the
National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, as of 14h00 on
09/5/2021 Vietnam has 1.759 domestic
infected cases of COVID-19, in which, new infections in the community since
27/01 are 1.160 cases. (Hai Duong: 730, Quang Ninh: 62, Hanoi: 76, Gia Lai: 27, Hai
Phong: 04, Bac Ninh: 48, Hoa Binh: 02, Ho Chi Minh City: 37, Binh Duong: 06,
Bac Giang: 08, Dien Bien: 04, Ha Giang: 01, Hung Yen: 14, Ha Nam: 16, Yen Bai:
01, Vinh Phuc: 33, Da Nang: 18, Quang Nam: 02, Dong Nai: 01, Thai Binh: 06,
Quang Ngai: 01, Lang Son: 03, Thanh Hoa: 01, Nghe An: 01, Nam Dinh: 02, Phu
Tho: 01, National Hospital for Tropical Diseases: 25, National Hospital for
Tropical Diseases – Dong Anh Branch: 06, Hai Phong: 01, Hue: 01, Dak Lac: 01). The number of new cases in the community from April 27,
2021 up to now is 256 cases.
2. Binh Thuan province
Up to now, Binh
Thuan province has gone through 422 consecutive
days without any case of COVID-19 infection.
Currently, Binh
Thuan General Hospital is treating 01 case of new COVID-19 patient, on entry
from Indonesia, stable health. When entering Binh Thuan,
this case has followed the process of receiving, isolating, strictly managed
from the time of entry, so it is not possible to spread out in the community. The
COVID-19 is under the control of the province.
28 cases are
under isolated at centralized isolation zones: Ham Thuan Bac (02), Tuy Phong
(07), Bac Binh (07), Duc Linh (02), Ham Thuan Nam (01), Phan Thiet (03), Tanh
Linh (06) (accumulated 155 cases has passed the isolation period);
334 cases under health supervision and monitoring at home (in which, 60 cases
are under monitored and isolated at home, 274 cases are self-monitored at home.
(Accumulated 1.682 cases of passed the supervision and monitoring at home).
They are all in normal health.
F1 cases in
contact with COVID -19 patients had negative results for the first tests, and
currently are isolated at the centralized isolation zones in Phan Thiet, Tuy
Phong, Bac Binh, Ham Thuan Bac, Ham Thuan Nam, Duc Linh, and Tanh Linh.
II. DEPLOYMENT OF DISEASE PREVENTION IN BINH THUAN

Ministry of Health on reviewing and isolating people returning from epidemic
areas.

1504/CV-BCD dated 09/5/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19
Prevention and Control on updating the list of localities involving COVID-19
for applying the epidemic prevention measures.
- Dispatch no

Department of Health on finding people having contact with patients positive
with SARS-CoV-2 for implementation of management and supervision.

1.2. Professional works
- Number of
sample taken from 16:00, 08/5/2021 to 16:00, 09/5/2021 is 71, accumulated 13.052 samples.
- Number of
sample tested from 16:00, 08/5/2021 to 16:00, 09/5/2021 is 54, with negative result (Accumulation
for tested samples: 13.028, with 13.027 negative results, 01
positive result).
- Number of
civil servants, cadres, employees and experts working in the province who
return to Binh Thuan from 08/5/2021 to 14h00, 09/5/2021 according to Dispatch
no 1417/CV-BCD on conducting the health declaration and test sampling is 00
case (accumulated 09 cases/09 samples with negative results).
- Number of citizens
returned to Binh Thuan from 16h00 on 08/5/2021 to 16h00 on 09/5/2021, which are
sampled and monitored: 49, in which,
34 samples have negative results, 15 samples are waiting for results (accumulated for 1.730 /1.745 samples have
negative results).

2. Propaganda works
- Continuing to
propagate the situation of acute respiratory infections caused by COVID-19 in
the entire province on website of the Department of Health, Binh Thuan Health
information page.
- Coordinating
with the Provincial Public Security Department continuously to monitor the
information on social networks to promptly rectify and handle any case of inaccuracy,
false or untrue information on the epidemic.
- Binh Thuan
Radio – Television Station broadcasted 09 articles on COVID-19 prevention and
control in afternoon and evening news on both television and radio channels, in
particular: Directions of the Head of Provincial Committee for COVID-19
Prevention and Control on implementing strictly the epidemic prevention and
control; the epidemic prevention and control in Vinh Tan Port; the epidemic
prevention and control in Lagi Port; the epidemic prevention and control on
passenger boats operating Phan Thiet – Phu Quy routes; the epidemic at the
transportation constructions; paying 2 months pension to prevent the epidemic; Dispatch
no 1503/SYT-NV dated 09/5/2021 of the Department of Health on finding people
having contact with patients positive with SARS-CoV-2 for implementation of
management and supervision; updates the list of localities involving the
epidemic; updates on COVID-19 on 09/5/2021; Broadcasting trailers on radio and
television channels: Bluzone installation and the urge of Bluzone installation:
04 times; Living with COVID - 5K message: 03 times; QR CODE online medical declaration:

Newspaper posted 03 news on: Propaganda on the implementation of COVID-19
Prevention and Control; COVID-19 propaganda; localities to deploy the epidemic
prevention tasks; Isolation tasks ready to respond in case of epidemic;
direction tasks of the central government and province in the prevention of
COVID-19; tracing task of infected cases across the country.
3. Deployment results of epidemic prevention by

III. WORKS TO BE CONTINUATED IN THE PREVENTION AND
CONTROL OF EPIDEMIC
1. Continuing to
implement the guidance of the Central Government, the Provincial Party
Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee
for COVID-19 prevention and control.

Prime Minister on several urgent measures for COVID-19 prevention and control;

2. Districts, towns and
cities to direct the teams for COVID-19 prevention and control at district and
commune level to strengthen checking workers at enterprises employing workers outside the province to detect workers
coming from epidemic provinces (according to the list attached to Dispatch no
1500/CV-BCD dated 08/5/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19
Prevention and Control updating
the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention
measures); Continuing taking sample for SARS-CoV-2 towards high-risk
objectives according to Dispatch no 914/SYT-NV dated 24/3/2021 of the
Department of Health for early detection of infection cases to avoid spreading
the disease out to the community.
3. Strengthening
the supervision and management of the concentrated isolation zones,
accommodation facilities, tourism facilities; requesting for strict
implementation of health declaration and random sampling towards those going
to/coming from/returning to localities from other provinces, cities.
4. Strengthening
the implementation of COVID-19 prevention measures in the treatment facilities;
the communication and guidance for the community to understand and comply with
the recommendations from the health authorities; strictly
implementing the preventive measures as 5K message (mask
– disinfection – distance – not gather – health declaration);
implementing health care in the election of deputies to the 15th
National Assembly and People’s Councils at all level of Binh Thuan province,
term 2021 – 2026.

Developing plans for epidemic prevention by levels; actively
monitoring the epidemic situation and movement in order to promptly handle any
arising situations; Continuing
to implement vaccination in the province to ensure the prescribed schedule and
time.

Suggesting the transport businesses, train station and bus stations to guide
passengers to strictly comply the 5K message; the localities to continue to
prepare the quarantine plans (ready in case of large number of F1 in the
community) and plans for zoning, isolating at the localities, at the same time,
continue to remind the roadside and highway eateries to strictly implement
measures for epidemic prevention and control./.
