on COVID-19 situation 2021

I. EPIDEMIC SITUATION

1. Vietnam

- Total: 2.070 cases / 49 provinces and cities, in which:

+ Recovered and discharged: 1.474 cases.

+ Under treatment: 561 cases.

+ 35 deaths.

According to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, as of 14h00 on 10/02/2021 Vietnam has 1.177 domestic infected cases of COVID-19, in which, new infections in the community since 27/01/2021 are 484 cases. (Hai Duong: 327, Quang Ninh: 53, Hanoi: 28, Gia Lai: 22, Hai Phong: 01, Bac Ninh: 04, Hoa Binh: 02, Ho Chi Minh City: 33, Binh Duong: 06, Bac Giang: 02, Dien Bien: 03, Ha Giang: 01, Hung Yen: 22).

2. Binh Thuan province

Up to now, Binh Thuan province has gone through 334 consecutive days without any case of COVID-19 infection.

Currently, there are 50 cases isolated at the isolation facilities, including:

• 48 cases at the centralized isolation facilities (Tuy Phong: 08, Ham Tan: 06, La Gi: 16, Tanh Linh: 16, Bac Binh: 02).
• 01 case at Tanh Linh Medical Center.
• 01 cases at Ham Tan Medical Center.

There are 327 cases isolated at homes, with stable health.

The authorities have investigated, monitored and taken samples 02 cases having close contact with COVID-19 infected cases at Ho Chi Minh, both cases had negative result for the first time.

II. DEPLOYMENT OF DISEASE PREVENTION IN BINH THUAN

1. Deployment results from 16h00, 09/02/2021 to now:

1.1. Directions of Central Government, Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee, Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

- Decision no 448/QD-UBND dated 09/02/2021 of the PPC on strengthening the Steering Committee and the specialist team for COVID-19 prevention and control of Binh Thuan.

- Decision no 449/QD-BCD dated 09/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on assigning members to be in charge of localities.

- Dispatch no 484/CV-BCD dated 10/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on updating the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures.

- Dispatch no 483/SYT-NV dated 10/02/2021 of the Department of Health on the urgent alerts related to COVID-19 cases infected at Ho Chi Minh city.

1.2. Professional works

- Number of sample taken from 16:00, 09/02/2021 to 16:00, 10/02/2021 is 201, accumulated 849 samples.

- Number of sample tested from 16:00, 09/02/2021 to 16:00, 10/02/2021 is 133, with negative results. Accumulation for tested samples: 723 with negative results.

- Number of citizens return to Binh Thuan from 16h00 on 09/02/2021 to 16h00 on 10/02/2021, which are sampled and monitored: 173 (accumulated 475 cases), including 63 samples with negative result, in particular:

+ from Binh Duong: 07 cases, 03 tested / 07 samples.

+ from Ho Chi Minh: 162 cases, 59 tested / 162 samples.

+ from other provinces: 04 case, 01 tested / 04 sample.

- For the medical examination at bus stations, train station (from 14h00 on 09/02/2021 to 14h00 on 10/02/2021):

+ Bus stations: vehicle counts: 224 times,

+ Train station: train counts: 28 times,

+ Total people being checked and supervised: 2.172 (cumulative: 13.538), all cases have stable health.

2. Propaganda works

- Continuing to propagate the situation of acute respiratory infections caused by COVID-19 in the entire province on website of the Department of Health, Binh Thuan Health information page, Newspapers, Provincial Radio and Television Station.

- Coordinating with the Provincial Public Security Department continuously to monitor the information on social networks to promptly rectify and handle any case of inaccuracy, false or untrue information on the epidemic. The binhthuan.gov.vn, Binh Thuan Propaganda, Binh Than Hometown, Binh Thuan Information, the Youth Union for the provincial agencies and enterprises … and other private Facebook pages: posting about 33 localities in HCM City under blockage due to COVID-19 infection; 13 provinces and cities to record COVID-19 cases. The afternoon of 09/02 recorded 16 new infected cases, including 13 domestic infected cases. Binh Thuan on morning of 09/02: 27 negative samples to COVID-19.

3. Deployment results of epidemic prevention by departments, agencies, localities and the management of tourists in Binh Thuan

- Conducting the Dispatch no 91/CV-TU dated 09/02/2021 of Binh Thuan Party Committee on strengthening COVID-19 prevention and control in the new situation; Dispatch no 400/UBND-KGVXNV dated 29/01/2021 of the Provincial People’s Committee on the deployment of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention and control; Dispatch no 446/UBND-KGVXNV dated 02/02/2021 of the PPC on continuing to implement the urgent COVID-19 prevention and control measures, and Dispatch no 484/CV-BCD dated 10/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on updating the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures

- Strengthening the communication, and monitoring health at home, conducting medical declaration for cases coming back home from abroad and epidemic areas, especially Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Binh Duong, Gia Lai, and Ho Chi Minh city in order to have timely solutions to avoid spreading the epidemic to the community.

III. WORKS TO BE CONTINUATED IN THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF EPIDEMIC

1. Continuing to implement the guiding documents of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control, of which: Directive no 05/CT-TTg dated 28/01/2021 of the Prime Minister on several urgent measures for COVID-19 prevention and control; Announcement no 26/TB-VPCP dated 08/02/2021 of the Government Office on the conclusion of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Standing Government’s meeting on COVID-19 prevention and control; Telegram no 95/CD-BYT dated 28/01/2021 of the Ministry of Health on investigation and handling of the COVID-19 outbreaks in the provinces and cities; Dispatch no 91/CV-TU dated 09/02/2021 of Binh Thuan Party Committee on strengthening COVID-19 prevention and control in the new situation; Dispatch no 400/UBND-KGVXNV dated 29/01/2021 of the Provincial People’s Committee on the deployment of urgent measures on COVID-19 prevention and control; Dispatch no 446/UBND-KGVXNV dated 02/02/2021 of the PPC on continuing to implement the urgent COVID-19 prevention and control measures, and Dispatch no 484/CV-BCD dated 10/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on updating the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures.

2. Urgently reviewing, tracing, managing and isolating cases of travelling to and from places with high risk of infection (according to the list attached to the Dispatch no 484/CV-BCD dated 10/02/2021 of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on updating the list of localities involving COVID-19 for applying the epidemic prevention measures); taking samples for early detection of infection cases to avoid spreading the disease out to the community.

3. Strengthening the supervision and management of the concentrated isolation zones.

4. Strengthening the implementation of COVID-19 prevention measures in the treatment facilities; the communication and guidance for the community to understand and comply with the recommendations from the health authorities; strictly implementing the preventive measures as 5K message (mask – disinfection – distance – not gather – health declaration); Applying the information technology in investigating, tracing and managing COVID-19 infection chain.

5. Monitoring closely the epidemic situation to proactively advice the Provincial People’s Committee to handle any arising situation.

6. Maintaining the medical examination at the train stations and bus stations in the province; preparing the quarantine plans (ready in case of large number of F1 in the community) and plans for zoning, isolating at the localities./.
