QUICK REPORT
on COVID-19 situation
(updated
to 16h00, 22/9/2020)
I. COVID-19 SITUATION
According to the
report of the Infectious Disease Monitoring System of Ministry of Health, up to
14:00, 22/9/2020, current COVID-19 situation is as follows:
1. In the world
- Total: 31.490.644 cases; 969.367 deaths.
- Countries with
high morbidity and mortality rates:
+ USA: 7.046.216 cases, 204.506 deaths;
+ India: 5.562.663 cases, 88.965 deaths;
+ Brazil: 4.560.083 cases,
137.350 deaths;
+ Russia: 1.109.595 cases,
19.489 deaths;
+ Peru: 772.896 cases,
31.474 deaths;
- 215 countries,
territories have reported confirmed cases of infection.
2. In Vietnam
- Total: 1.068 cases / 40 provinces, cities, in which:
+ Recovered and
discharged: 947 cases.
+ Under
treatment: 86 cases.
+ 35 deaths.
3. In Binh Thuan province
Up to now, Binh
Thuan province has gone through 193 consecutive days without any case of
COVID-19 infection.
Currently, the
number of cases under quarantine at the centralized isolation facilities is 02 cases; they are in stable health, (the
centralized isolation zone at Sand Beach Resort, 128 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Ham
Tien)
II. DEPLOYMENT OF DISEASE PREVENTION IN BINH THUAN
1. Directions of Central Government, Provincial
Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee, Steering Committee for COVID-19
Prevention and Control.

- Number of test
sample taken in the day is 00 (accumulated
1.146 samples with negative results).
- Number of people
from those provinces and cities recorded infections according to the Ministry
of Health to Binh Thuan province from 16:00, 21/9/2020 to 16:00, 22/9/2020 is 03
(accumulated 3.657 cases); they are all closely monitored
and supervised by the heal agencies, in which: 02 cases quarantined at centralized isolation facilities, 49 cases quarantined at homes.
Currently, 3.606 cases have passed
quarantine time.
2.3. Propaganda works
- Continuing to
propagate the situation of acute respiratory infections caused by Covid-19 in
the entire province on website of the Department of Health, Binh Thuan Health
information page, Newspapers, Provincial Radio and Television Station.
- Binh Thuan
Radio – Television Station broadcasted 02 articles on COVID-19 prevention in
afternoon and evening news. The radio channel conducted 10 times of broadcast
trailer, the television channel conducted 8 times of broadcast trailer to propagate,
mobilize, recommend the public servants, officials, employees and people
raising their awareness, not be subjective and neglect, but fully and seriously
comply with the recommendation of the Central Government, the Ministry of Health on the measures to
prevent Covid-19.
- Coordinating with the Provincial Public
Security Department continuously to monitor the information on social networks
to promptly rectify and handle any case of inaccuracy, false or untrue
information on the epidemic.
2.4. Deployment results of epidemic prevention by
departments, agencies, localities and the management of tourists in Binh Thuan
2.4.1. Departments and agencies
- By reviewing
the data from the provincial Immigration Department and the tourist
accommodation establishments, as of 22/9/2020, Binh Thuan received about 2.000 guests (decreases 170 guests compared to 21/9/2020), including:
about 1.450 domestic visitors, 550 international visitors such as Russia: 142, Germany: 12, France: 24, USA: 29, Ukraine: 17,
UK: 9.
- Continuing to
review and conduct medical declarations for civil servants, public employees,
employees and their families and relatives who have contacted or returned from
epidemic areas; and for cases of going back from epidemic areas have made local
medical declarations and passed quarantine time in accordance with instructions
and regulations.
2.4.2. People’s Committee of districts, towns and
cities
- Continue to
direct units and localities to strengthen the communication, and monitoring
health at home, conducting medical declaration for cases coming back home from
abroad and epidemic areas in order to have timely solutions to avoid spreading
the epidemic to the community.
- Continue to
direct functional units to strengthen the inspection and examination to prohibit
speculation and accumulation of essential goods, medical supplies, strictly
handle the speculation, goods hoarding, price rising, causing market
instability in accordance with the laws.
III. IDENTIFICATION OF EPIDEMIC DEVELOPMENT IN THE
COMING TIME
Over 193 days,
Binh Thuan province has had no new case (from March 12 to now). However, the
epidemic development is still very complicated. Currently, Vietnam has total 1.068 cases
of COVID-19 infection; there are many cases of infection in the community with 35
deaths. Therefore, it is required that we are absolutely not being subjective, neglected,
out of guard, and always ready at the highest level, especially for the forces
directly engaged in epidemic prevention and control.
IV. WORKS TO BE CONTINUATED IN THE PREVENTION AND
CONTROL OF EPIDEMIC
- Implementing
strictly Announcement no. 362/TB-VPCP dated 13/9/2020 of the Government Office
on the Conclusion of Prime Minister - Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the Standing meeting
of the Government on COVID-19 prevention and control.
- Implementing
seriously the Announcement No. 1067/TB-VPTU dated 28/7/2020 of the Provincial
Party Committee Office on the Conclusion of the Standing Committee of the Provincial
Party Committee on urgent direction of measures for COVID-19 prevention and
control; Official Dispatch No. 1810-CV/TU dated 30/7/2020 of Binh Thuan
Provincial Party Committee on strengthening leadership in Covid-19 prevention
and control; Official Dispatch No. 3392/UBND-KGVXNV dated 07/9/2020 of the
Provincial People's Committee on continuing to conduct the measures on COVID-19
prevention and control in the new situation.

Reviewing and listing of all cases in the area that have ever traveled to Da
Nang city and other provinces with epidemic outbreaks to screen and verify
at-risk cases for organizing appropriate medical isolation according to the
guidance of the National Steering Committee and the Ministry of Health. Taking
samples for early detection of infected cases to avoid spreading the disease to
the community and request all of these cases to conduct immediately the medical
declaration for monitoring and updating of health status.

Focusing on immigration settlement for foreign experts come to work in Binh
Thuan province, implementing well the centralized quarantine plan in accordance
with the guidance of the Ministry of Health to ensure safety for COVID-19
prevention and control.

Monitoring closely the epidemic situation for advising proactively the
Provincial People’s Committee to promptly handle any arising situation./.
