(binhthuan.gov.vn) The entrance exam for 10th grade of the public system of Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted, and non-specialized high schools in the province for the school year 2021-2022 will take place from June 10 to 12, 2021. This is the first year that the province organizes a common entrance exam for 10th of the public system instead of separating into 2 exams as before. At this point, all preparations for the exam have been completed.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training has actively coordinated with the police, electricity, health sectors ... in the districts, towns and cities to fully prepare the personnel, equipment, facilities, security and order, etc. in order to ensure the well-organized exam as prescribed by regulations. At the same time, carefully preparing the necessary conditions to create favorable conditions for candidates to register for the exam and for admission. In particular, it has mobilized organizations and individuals to support and help candidates who are children of ethnic minorities, families under preferential treatment policy, students with disabilities, candidates with difficulties, and candidates in remote areas, disaster-affected areas to participate in the exam and not to leave any candidate missing the exam because of economic or travel difficulties.

Besides, due to the current development of Covid-19 epidemic with complicated and unpredictable symptoms. The Department of Education and Training has requested units and chairpersons of examination councils to strengthen measures to prevent and control the epidemic during the exam. Specifically, coordinating with local health agencies to proactively perform well the epidemic prevention and control according to the instructions and recommendations of the health authorities during the exam process. In which, activating the entire system of hand washing basins and hand sanitizer dispensers available at the units. Preparing a sufficient number of thermometers to measure body temperature for officials, teachers, exam staffs and candidates participating in the exam. Disinfecting the rooms are arranged for the exam, arranging seats with maximum distance to ensure the implementation of exam regulations as well as the safety according to regulations on epidemic prevention and control. At the same time, instructing candidates to proactively implement epidemic prevention, such as: wearing facemasks, washing hands and disinfecting... Along with that, it is required that each unit where the examination board is located to reserve at least 2 rooms for back up in case of COVID-19 occurs.

The Department of Education and Training also proposed not to organize the opening of the exam due to the epidemic. However, Chairpersons of the Examination Councils must announce and inform fully and promptly the exam schedule and time for each subject to minimize the possibility of the candidate being suspended due to not following exam time according to the regulations. The candidates are not allowed to gather in large numbers after exams, and must keep the prescribed distance. At the same time, Chairpersons of the Examination Councils shall coordinate with the local police to prevent students' parents from gathering in large numbers outside the exam places.

It is known that the entrance exam to 10th grade of public high school this year has more than 15,600 candidates registered over 18,000 current 9th graders, with 639 exam rooms. The Department of Education and Training has established 29 examination councils located at 26 high schools in the province. Accordingly, for the 10th grade enrollment in non-specialized high schools, candidates will take the exam in 3 subjects: Mathematics, Literature and English. For admission to 10th grade at Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted, candidates will take the 3 general subjects (multiply by 1) as the candidates taking the entrance exam to non-specialized high schools. At the same time, they must choose one specialized subject (multiply by 2) in the following subjects: Mathematics, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Informatics (math).

Note: Candidates applying to Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted are allowed to register to take up to 3 specialized subjects and 1 aspiration to enroll in non-specialized classes (advanced classes), provided that if they participate in one of the registered specialized subjects. Candidates who fell 10th grade of the high school for the gifted will still be considered for admission to the 10th grade of non-specialized high schools according to 2 aspirations, provided that they have completed all 3 general subjects with multiply by 1 (Math, Literature, English) and must have registered 2 aspirations for admission to 10th grade of non-specialized high schools as prescribed.

As for the non-specialized high schools, candidates (including candidates registered for entrance exams to specialized schools) are allowed to register for admission to 10th grade of non-specialized high schools in the province with 2 aspirations: aspiration 1 registers for admission at the high school where the candidate take directly the exam (candidates can register for the exam at any non-specialized high school in the province), and aspiration 2 applies for admission to another high school but must be located in the same district, town or city as the junior high school where the candidate is studying in grade 9th. At the first aspiration, candidates who register and participate in the exam at non-specialized high schools, they will not be able to register and participate in the entrance exam to Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted for the second aspiration.
