Rectify and strengthen occupational safety and hygiene in the province

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh has just
requested relevant departments, agencies and units and People's Committees of
districts, towns and cities to rectify and strengthen occupational safety and
hygiene at workplace in the province.
Specifically,
the Vice Chairman of the PPC requests departments, branches, agencies and
localities continue to strictly implement the provisions of law on labor safety
and Official Dispatch No. 4739/UBND-KGVXNV dated December 1, 2023 of the
Provincial People's Committee on strengthening management and compliance with
laws on occupational safety and hygiene.
The
Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs shall continue to
strengthen its responsibility in occupational safety and hygiene in the
province, considering this is a regular, long-term task with important significance
in socio-economic development in the province, ensuring human security. Preside
over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and localities to
strengthen propaganda and dissemination of the provisions of the Law on
Occupational Safety and Health and the State's legal policies on occupational
safety and hygiene for businesses, units, and production and business
establishments in the province; especially at key constructions and projects,
businesses, units, and establishments operating in fields and industries with
many toxic and dangerous elements, with high risks of occupational accidents,
occupational disease; use machines, equipment, materials and substances with
strict requirements on labor safety. Closely coordinate with departments, agencies
and localities to monitor the situation of occupational safety and hygiene at
enterprises and production and business establishments in the province; encourage
businesses to proactively invest, deploy preventive measures, strengthen
self-inspection, supervision, drills and solutions to minimize labor accidents
and occupational diseases, ensuring health for workers. Coordinate with
relevant departments, divisions and agencies to strengthen inspection,
examination, review, recommendation and resolutely handle violations of
regulations on occupational safety and hygiene, especially construction
projects and the use of pressure equipment (boiler equipment, pressure vessels,
compressed air tanks...), lifting equipment (such as forklifts, cranes, elevators,
...) in production and business, businesses at high risks of occupational
accidents.
The
Department of Health shall coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and units
to promote propaganda and raise awareness of employers and employees on
occupational safety and hygiene. Coordinate with the Department of Labor, War
Invalids and Social Affairs and relevant agencies and units to regularly
inspect and examine the compliance with regulations on occupational safety and
