Regulating water through the spillway on Lake Song Mong

the past few days, due to the influence of the depression trench combined with
the southwest monsoon, there have been heavy rains in the upstream, as of 07:00
am on 04/10/2021, the water level of Lake Song Mong, Ham Thuan Nam district
reached the elevation of 75.90m, 0.1m higher than normal water level and is rising.
As forecasted by the
Central Hydro-meteorological Center, in the coming days, Binh Thuan province
will have heavy to very heavy rain. In order to ensure the safety of the works,
and to reduce inundation for downstream areas when floods occur, Binh Thuan
Water Resources Exploitation Limited Company will regulate water through the
spillway on Lake Song Mong, Ham Thuan Nam district. Schedule: from 14:00 on
04/10/2021 with a flow of 15 m3/s; after 18:00, depending on the intake of the
lake, the flow will increase from 20 -;- 50 m3/s.
For avoiding property
damages of the people in the affected areas, Binh Thuan Water Resources
Exploitation Limited Company proposes to the People's Committee of Ham Thuan
Nam district and relevant agencies to promptly notify people along the flood
discharge route of Lake Suoi and Lake Song Mong to know and prepare the safe
prevention plan.
