Repair and address damage and environmental pollution at La Gi Fishing Port to support efforts in combating IUU fishing.

 

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In order to effectively implement measures against IUU fishing in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has signed a decision approving the project for repairing and addressing damage and environmental pollution at the 200 - 400 Cv area of La Gi Fishing Port. The project will be managed by the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board as the investor.

The objective of the project is to address damage and environmental pollution in the 200 - 400 Cv area of La Gi Fishing Port to support efforts against IUU fishing. It aims to progressively enhance the infrastructure of La Gi Fishing Port to improve logistics, seafood trade, food safety, and environmental hygiene. This will contribute to the development of the fishing, seafood processing, and fisheries logistics sectors in La Gi Town.

The scope of investment for the project includes: Road construction, the 200 - 400 Cv quay area, and a drainage system. Specifically, the investor will construct a road with a length of 202.54 meters, a road width of 8.0 meters, a sidewalk width of 5.3 meters, and a roadbed width of 13.3 meters. The quay area of 200 - 400 Cv will be renovated, with a quay length of 202.54 meters and an average quay width of 7.0 meters. Additionally, the investor will build a drainage system featuring 416 meters of centrifugal concrete pipes and 17 manholes.

This project is scheduled to be completed in 2024. It is funded with over 4.7 billion VND from the Development Fund of the Provincial Fishing Port Management Board and the budget allocated to the Agriculture and Rural Development sector.
