Schedule of water regulation on the spillway of Phan Dung lake

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Binh Thuan water resources exploitation Ltd. Co. will regulate water over the spillway of Phan Dung lake at 15h00 on August 4, 2023.
According to Binh Thuan water resources exploitation Ltd. Co., in recent days, there has been rain in the upstream area, so the amount of water in Phan Dung Lake is large. As of 7:00 am on August 4, 2023, the water level of Phan Dung lake was at an elevation of +205.48 m and is continuing to increase rapidly.
As forecasted by the National Hydro-meteorological Center, in the coming days, it continues to rain in the province. In order to ensure the safety for the works and reduce flooding for the downstream area when heavy rain occurs, Binh Thuan water resources exploitation Ltd. Co. will regulate water through the spillway of Phan Dung Lake.
Regulating time is at 15:00 on August 4, 2023, with a flow rate of 08m3/s. After 21:00 on August 4, 2023, depending on the flow intake and the downstream situation, the flow rate will increase from 10 ÷ 100 m3/s.
For avoiding property damage to the people in the affected area, Binh Thuan water resources exploitation Ltd. Co. proposes the Tuy Phong District People's Committee to promptly notify the people along the flood discharge route of Phan Dung lake so that they can proactively prepare safety plan.
