(binhthuan.gov.vn) Considering the requests of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Report no. 139/BC-SNN dated 18/6/2021 on reporting the shortage of rural domestic water in the province, the Department of Construction in Dispatch no. 1984/SXD-QLXD&HTKT dated 18/6/2021 on reporting the settlement of domestic water shortage in Phan Thiet city, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a dispatch assigning the Department of Construction to chair over, coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and relevant functional agencies to advise the Provincial People's Committee on reporting to the Standing Provincial Party Committee on the results of inspection and settlement of the shortage of domestic water in the province under the direction of Official Letter no. 677-CV/VPTU dated 28/5/2021 of the Office of the Provincial Party Committee.

For the investment in water supply works in the period of 2021 - 2025: the Department of Planning and Investment is requested to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in implementing the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in Dispatch no. 2689/VP-ĐTQH dated 28/6/2021.

For areas where the population is scattered and far from the main water supply pipeline, the investment in the network of water supply pipes to these areas is inefficient and cannot be done as the investment from the national budget is still limited; Therefore, the People's Committees of districts and towns are assigned to take measures to propagate and mobilize people to use water sparingly, to support and guide people to take loans from the Social Policy Bank to build the dispersal water supply works (tanks, containers, ponds, ...) as needed to settle the shortage of domestic water recently.

Phan Thiet City People's Committee is assigned to direct relevant agencies and units to implement the followings:

For areas where water supply pipes are available but have not been connected and supplied to households: to coordinate with Binh Thuan Water Supply and Sewerage Company and the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Center for the guidance in the procedure for connecting to the existing water supply system.

Completing the procedures for land acquisition and allocation so that the Center for Clean Water and Rural Environment can soon carry out the construction of the project of upgrading and expanding the water system in Thien Nghiep commune in 2021 and the project of upgrading and expanding the water system Mui ne ward in 2022. At the same time, paying attention to create favorable conditions when the Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company and the Center for Rural Clean Water and Sanitation carry out the procedures for construction license of water supply works.

Binh Thuan Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company to continue to supply domestic water through the master meter to satisfy daily domestic water needs of people under the contract signed with the Center for Rural Clean Water and Agricultural Sanitation.
