Social security support package sent to the people of Ham Thuan Nam district

Ham Thuan Nam District has distributed the support from VND 62,000 billion
package under the Government’s Resolution n0 42/NQ-CP to local
people affected by COVID-19 epidemic.
This time, Ham Thuan Nam district has given to 6,898 beneficiaries
who are people with meritorious services to the
revolution, social protection beneficiaries, poor and
near-poor households with the amount of over VND 7.6 billion. In the payment
process, to ensure the right subjects and the right beneficiaries, localities
have implemented many solutions. In particular, publicity, transparency as well
as inspection and supervision are the decisive factors to the support package reached
the right beneficiaries.
Noted in Ham My commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, in the morning,
the locality has paid for 02 cases of people with meritorious services to the
revolution and social protection beneficiaries, with the support of 500,000
VND/person/month and in full of 3 months, from April to June, 2020. Poor and
near poor households will get support from the local authority in the afternoon
and the next days.
In Ham Cuong commune, the local authority is also very flexible in
implementing the support packages to the people. Accordingly, besides distributing
at the People's Committee of the commune, the communal officials also come to
each family of people with meritorious services and disable people. Mr. Bui Van
Lanh, from Phu Sung Village, Ham Cuong Commune has had an occupational accident
for 08 years. His travel depends on the wheelchair. Therefore, his family is
very difficult. Mr. Lanh was very happy when received the amount of VND 1.5
million from the local authority at his home.

The social security support package is not only materially
valuable but also is the timely spiritual encouragement and support from the
Government to the people. It is not only Ham Thuan Nam district, localities in
the province are urgently implementing the Resolution no. 42/NQ-CP
of the Government to soon bring the support package to each person in difficult
circumstances, helping people have more fortitude to overcome difficulties after the COVID-19
epidemic/.
