On the afternoon of 25/7, the Ministry of Transport held an online conference
with localities across the country on transporting agricultural goods in the
context of carrying out the tasks of COVID-19 prevention and control. Attending
the conference at the bridge of Binh Thuan province, there were Vice Chairman
of the PPC Nguyen Van Phong, and representatives of leaders of relevant
departments and agencies.
Facing the outbreak
of the COVID-19 with complicated developments on a large scale, over the past
time, the Ministry of Transport has actively coordinated with ministries,
agencies and local authorities to focus on directing the relevant agencies and
units to promptly implement variety solutions to ensure the continuity of the supply
chain of essential goods for people and raw materials for production of
enterprises. Up to now, more than 400,000 vehicles have been granted QR codes
by the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Transport), which
is facilitating the circulation of goods. In addition, the Ministry has also
announced a hotline to solve difficulties and problems of transport
enterprises.
However, despite
being facilitated for the smooth circulation of vehicles, the transportation of
goods still faces many difficulties, leading to goods being stuck, and many
agricultural products in large production areas not being circulated in time
have been damaged... Meanwhile, people in big cities are short of foods.
Giving speech at the
conference, the Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The said that all goods are
now essential, and under the direction of the Prime Minister, currently all
roads have no longer been distinguished as green or yellow channels, vehicles
are allowed to go on every road as long as there is a QR code stick on that
vehicle, the authorities will strengthen the work of supervision.
In addition, the
Minister of Transport also suggested localities to join the Ministry's hotline
to coordinate in timely handling the problems related to goods transportation
of enterprises; receiving opinions and information reflected on the media,
social networks to promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations...
