Solving difficulties related to agricultural product transportation in the context of COVID-19 prevention and control

(binhthuan.gov.vn) On the afternoon of 25/7, the Ministry of Transport held an online conference with localities across the country on transporting agricultural goods in the context of carrying out the tasks of COVID-19 prevention and control. Attending the conference at the bridge of Binh Thuan province, there were Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Van Phong, and representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

Facing the outbreak of the COVID-19 with complicated developments on a large scale, over the past time, the Ministry of Transport has actively coordinated with ministries, agencies and local authorities to focus on directing the relevant agencies and units to promptly implement variety solutions to ensure the continuity of the supply chain of essential goods for people and raw materials for production of enterprises. Up to now, more than 400,000 vehicles have been granted QR codes by the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam (under the Ministry of Transport), which is facilitating the circulation of goods. In addition, the Ministry has also announced a hotline to solve difficulties and problems of transport enterprises.

However, despite being facilitated for the smooth circulation of vehicles, the transportation of goods still faces many difficulties, leading to goods being stuck, and many agricultural products in large production areas not being circulated in time have been damaged... Meanwhile, people in big cities are short of foods.

Giving speech at the conference, the Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The said that all goods are now essential, and under the direction of the Prime Minister, currently all roads have no longer been distinguished as green or yellow channels, vehicles are allowed to go on every road as long as there is a QR code stick on that vehicle, the authorities will strengthen the work of supervision.

In addition, the Minister of Transport also suggested localities to join the Ministry's hotline to coordinate in timely handling the problems related to goods transportation of enterprises; receiving opinions and information reflected on the media, social networks to promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations...
