Soon to build a new culvert Ba Loan at Duc Hanh commune to deal with the heavy rains and flash floods

Linh District People's Committee, from the beginning of 8/2021 up to now, in
Duc Linh district, heavy rains have continuously occurred on a large scale,
causing landslides at culvert Ba Loan in Ba Hoa hill area, Duc Hanh commune.
Due to prolonged heavy rains, water
from the areas of Duc Tin and Duc Hanh commune flows heavily to culvert Ba Loan
- Duc Hanh commune, so it has caused a situation that the water is not able to
drain in time and overflowing over the roads, causing slope erosion, collapsing
culvert Ba Loan, Duc Hanh commune.
Mr. Huynh Van Tu - Vice Chairman of
Duc Linh District People's Committee said that culvert Ba Loan is located on
the rural road leading to the production area of Duc Hanh commune with a road
width of about 4 m and is built in double sewers, including 08 pipes, size 1 m.
At the time of inspection, the culvert was eroded, the slopes on both sides of
the culvert were collapsed and 04 pipes were completely broken, creating a
large hole in the roadbed so it was impossible for traffic, affecting
production and movement of people in Duc Hanh commune. Mr. Huynh Van Tu also
added that this is the main rural traffic route to the production area of the
people of Duc Hanh commune; if it is not promptly repaired, the collapse of
culvert Ba Loan will affect the travel and production of people, especially
during the rubber latex extraction period.
Therefore, in order to ensure the
travel convenience for people and production, and the safety of the work, at
first, Duc Linh District People's Committee requires the People's Committee of
Duc Hanh Commune to take the initiative in terms of means, materials, and
workers to urgently carry out the temporary repair of culvert Ba Loan to ensure
the safety, the convenient in travel and production of people in the area. In
the long term, the District People's Committee recommends the Provincial
People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster
Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue, the Department of Agriculture and
Rural Development to concern and support by funding to build a new culvert Ba
Loan, Duc Hanh commune in order to settle the situation of heavy rains and
flash floods, inadequate drainage causing road landslides, culvert collapses
that affects the life, transportation and production of the local people.
