Strengthen the safety of dams, hydropower reservoirs, and power grid systems before the rainy season

order to proactively respond to natural disasters, ensure the safety of
hydropower reservoirs and dams, the power supply system, and minimize damage
caused by natural disasters, the hydropower plants need to strengthen the
safety of dams, hydropower reservoirs, and power grid systems before the stormy
season.
Accordingly,
hydroelectric power plants shall strengthen the inspection and assessment on
the operation safety of dams and reservoirs. Organize the formulation, review,
adjustment and supplementation of the reservoir operation process; Protection
plan for dams and hydroelectric reservoirs; Respond plan for emergency
situations to submit to competent agencies for appraisal and approval according
as prescribed by laws.
At the same time,
strictly complying with regulations on safe management of dams and reservoirs
and actively preparing to respond to emergency situations caused by natural
disasters, especially earthquakes, landslides, and floods, etc. Preparing all
means and materials ready to respond to all natural disaster situations.
Organizing the rehearsals of the approved respond plans on natural disasters
and emergency situations. In addition, the hydroelectric power plant projects
under construction should be ready in preventing and combating natural
disasters and floods.

Transmission Unit, Binh Thuan Power Company shall propagate and guide people to
strictly abide by the provisions of Decree No. 14, dated February 26, 2014 of
the Government detailing the implementation of Law on Electricity on
electricity safety, Decree No. 51, dated April 21, 2020 of the Government
amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 14 to ensure the
safety of the electricity grid corridor in the province.
