Strengthening market surveillance on the essential and consumer goods

During the first quarter of 2022, facing to the complicated developments of
COVID-19 and the volatile international situation have affected the prices of
essential commodities such as gasoline, equipment, materials for disease
preventionand control, etc. but the Provincial Market Surveillance Department
has always followed the instructions of the superiors, actively and closely
followed the market to perform the task of inspecting and controlling the
market against smuggling, counterfeit goods and commercial fraud in the
province.
As a result, the
Provincial Market Surveillance Department inspected 143 cases, detected and
handled 55 violations, the total amount of fines for administrative violations
and sales of confiscated goods paid to the State budget was more than 775
million VND. The management of the area, capturing information on the situation
and fluctuations of the market has been strengthened, thereby promptly
detecting, preventing and strictly handling violations according to
regulations, creating favorable conditions for goods to circulate on the market
and contributing to market stability. In addition to market inspection and
control, the market management teams also combined propaganda and dissemination
of legal provisions in commercial activities as well as in the field of food
safety to the productions and businesses in the province.
