Strengthening natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue

(binhthuan.gov.vn) In order to proactively prevent and respond to
abnormal developments of natural disasters, and reduce the loss of life and
property of the people and the state, the Chairman of the Provincial People's
Committee has issued a Directive requesting the Chairman of the People's
Committees at all levels, Heads of relevant departments, agencies and units to
strengthen natural disaster prevention and control, search and rescue in 2022.
Under the direction
of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the relevant departments,
agencies and units shall continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly and
effectively implement the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the
Law on Amending and Supplementing the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and
Control, the Law on Dikes and related documents to make a drastic change in
people's awareness and actions on natural disaster prevention and control, search
and rescue. Developing plans and tasks for 2022 that are specific, close to
reality, types of natural disasters, levels of natural disasters that have
occurred and suitable to the characteristics of each locality and each region
in order to quickly and effectively response and prevent in order to minimize
damages caused by natural disasters; taking the initiative in rescue and
relocation of people and property to ensure safety before, during and after
natural disasters.
Improving search and
rescue capacity, focusing on coordination and synergies between forces to
improve the quality and efficiency of rescue, in which the armed forces are
identified as the core for the rescue work. Promoting communication, raising
awareness and guiding people the disaster and incident response skills.
