Strengthening prevention and control of occupational diseases

the importance of the workforce and realizing that employees are precious resource
of enterprises, Binh Thuan always pays attention to and deploys many activities
to protect, care for and improve the health of employees; in which, including
occupational disease prevention and control in order to ensure the quality of
human resources, maintain stable production and business activities of units
and enterprises, and contribute to the sustainable development of the province.
Occupational disease is
one that is specific to or related to occupation, arising due to harmful
working conditions of the profession affecting employee. The disease occurs
because the working environment does not ensure the regulations on noise, dust,
microorganisms, radiation, toxic gases, etc. or the employee works for too
long, the working regime and intensity are stressful.
In 2022, Binh Thuan carried
out propaganda on prevention of occupational deafness. This is the second most
common occupational disease among 34 insured occupational diseases in Vietnam.
Every year, about 250 to 500 cases are concluded by the Institute of Medical
Examination.

It can be said that
occupational diseases directly affect the health of employees, affecting the
working performance and production capacity of the units. Therefore, in order
to well prevent and control occupational diseases, it is necessary to
synchronously deploy many solutions; in which extensive propaganda on measures
to prevent and control harmful factors at work to create positive changes in
awareness and sense of responsibility of establishments and employees./.
