Strengthening the control of vehicle loads on roads

(binhthuan.gov.vn) Over the time, the situation of overloaded
vehicles is still ongoing on some roads in the province. Accordingly, the Department
of Transport proposes the relevant units to strengthen the control of vehicle
loads, especially during the peak season from June 20, 2022 to July 15, 2022.
Department Inspectors
shall proactively to coordinate with provincial and district traffic police to
implement vehicle load control in the locality by the provided mobile vehicle
load testing stations and weighing devices to check vehicle loads; strictly
handle violations. Strengthening inspection and handling of violations in terms
of vehicle load, trunk size, especially the control of vehicle loads at the
upstream of goods such as ports, wharves, railway stations, material mines, loading
goods places … and on roads with many overloaded vehicles, especially at night.
The transport
enterprises, cargo handling enterprises, material mines... shall strictly
implement the signed commitments on not loading goods beyond the allowable load
of vehicles; any enterprise violating regulations on vehicle load will be
strictly handled. At the same time, coordinating with information and press
agencies in propagating and disseminating legal provisions on vehicle loads,
damages caused by overloaded vehicles, regulations on penalties on sanctioning
administrative violations toward drivers and vehicle owners when violating
regulations on vehicle loads.
The Automobile
Transport Association shall strengthen the coordination with relevant agencies
to promote propaganda, dissemination and education of the law on road traffic
and mobilize the members to strictly obey the provisions of the law on weight
and size limits of vehicles and of the bridges, roads; should not to expand the
trunk illegally.
