Strengthening the control of zoonotic diseases

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Nguyen Van Phong has just
signed and promulgated a document requesting relevant departments, agencies and
People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to strengthen the control of
animal diseases and zoonotic diseases.
Accordingly, the
Department of Agriculture and Rural Development coordinates with relevant
departments and agencies and the People's Committees of districts, towns and
cities to effectively implement programs and plans to prevent and control
animal diseases and zoonotic diseases such as prevention of rabies, avian
influenza, African swine fever, foot-and-mouth disease... Actively conducting
the inspection and surveillance of animal diseases and zoonotic diseases for
early detection, timely warning, and fully handling when new diseases are
detected; at the same time, immediately notifying the Health sector for
measures to coordinate in handling and early preventing zoonotic diseases.
PPC of districts,
towns and cities shall mobilize maximum resources to deploy the most effective
solutions to prevent and control animal diseases and zoonotic diseases; must
not be subjective or neglected in epidemic prevention and control; organizing
standing forces, preparing and arranging human resources, materials and funds ready
to take the initiative in epidemic prevention and control in all situations
when an epidemic occurs.
