Strengthening the inspection of the sale and use of unknown-origin veterinary drugs and vaccines

In order to ensure the quality of drugs and vaccines for safe and effective
animal disease prevention and control; at the same time, to detect and handle
organizations and individuals violating regulations on production, import,
trade and use of unknown-origin veterinary drugs, which have not yet been allowed
to be circulated in Vietnam, the Provincial People's Committee has requested
the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to chair over and
coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Market Surveillance
Department, relevant departments and agencies and the People's Committees of
districts, towns and cities to urgently organize drastically and synchronously the
measures as requested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
In which, to actively
prepare inspection and examination plan on the trade and use of veterinary
drugs, especially, those unknown-origin vaccines against Avian Influenza and
African swine fever which have not been allowed to be circulated in Vietnam, to
strictly handle violations in accordance with the law.
Actively fighting and
preventing the illegal transportation of veterinary drugs and vaccines across
the border; the manufacture and trade in fake and counterfeit veterinary drugs;
at the same time, actively coordinating with veterinary agencies in handling
administrative violations according to the provisions of law.
