Strengthening the prevention and control of animal diseases in the province

To proactively control and prevent the risk of arising dangerous diseases,
limiting the spread out to livestock and poultry, ensure disease safety, and
create conditions for livestock development in the province, the Department of
Agriculture Industry and Rural Development has proposed the People's Committees
of districts, towns, cities and Sub-Departments of Livestock and Veterinary
Medicine to strengthen the prevention and control of animal diseases in the
province.
Accordingly, the
People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall quickly review and conduct
accurate statistics of the total livestock herds of in the areas; at the same
time, organize vaccination for animals, mobilize and propagate the livestock
households to actively vaccinate animals against diseases, especially dangerous
diseases in livestock such as foot-and-mouth disease, blue-eared pig, skin
rash, etc. Actively monitoring epidemics, especially in localities where
dangerous epidemics have occurred, localities with high livestock density for
early detection and definitive treatment as soon as a new disease is detected
to prevent the disease from spreading on a large scale…
