Strengthening the prevention and fight against crime and drug evils

prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has had a direct impact on all areas of life,
including the social order and safety. Taking advantage of the epidemic
situation, many subjects commit crimes and violate the laws, especially
drug-related crimes with sophisticated and cunning methods and tricks.
In 2021, the
situation of crime and drug abuse in the province was still potentially
complicated. The nature and tricks were clever, sophisticated, organized, and
ready to fight back when caught and arrested. According to statistics, in 2021,
the whole province discovered and dismantled 464 cases/710 subjects of illegal
possession, transportation, trading, and organization of drug use, increased 75cases/145
subjects compared to the same period in 2020. The popular drugs are still
heroin and synthetic drugs. The source of drugs was identified mainly from Ho Chi
Minh City, transported by the subjects themselves or through inter-city buses
(disguised as goods, gift boxes) to transport to Binh Thuan.
The Provincial Police
Force will coordinate with the Provincial Border Guard Command to strengthen the
forces and synchronously deploy working measures to firmly grasp the situation,
manage the area, and avoid being passive or surprised; focusing on attacking
and suppressing drug-related crimes on key routes, areas and fields, not
allowing the emergence of complex points and locations..../.
