In order to continue to make a really strong change in the work of crime and drug prevention and control in the whole province and to implement the direction of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at Notice No. 375/TB-VPCP dated 13/12/2022 on the conclusion of the Conference on preliminary review and evaluation of typical drug projects and encouragement and reward to police units and localities for their outstanding achievements in the work of attacking and suppressing drug crimes, the Provincial People's Committee has requested the Departments, agencies, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities and proposed the Provincial Front, mass organizations, the Public Security forces as the core to continue developing the role as the leader in drug prevention and control.

In particular, doing well in advising Party committees and authorities at the same level to strengthen leadership and direct effectively the implementation of Directives and Resolutions of the Party, National Assembly, Government, Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Party Committee; Law on drug prevention and control 2021; plans and programs on drug prevention and control; mobilizing the strength of the whole political system and the people to participate in drug prevention and fighting. Thoroughly grasping the Politburo's guiding point of view as "Never let Vietnam be an international drug transit area", consistent with the viewpoint "Never legalize narcotics".

Besides, strengthening propaganda to raise awareness and warn, especially among teenagers, high-risk groups on the dangers of drugs. Continuing to build and replicate advanced models and examples of drug prevention and control at the grassroots. Integrating drug prevention and control with programs on crime prevention and control, and socio-economic development in localities, especially in remote, isolated and ethnic minority areas. Coordinating with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Health to effectively implement detoxification and management of addicts and illegal drug users.

Actively forecasting closely, correctly, firmly grasping the situation, fighting and destroying drug trafficking and transportation lines; promptly detecting and completely handling the points and places where illegal drug use is organized, key and complicated areas of drug. Strictly controlling precursors, narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs, veterinary drugs containing narcotic substances, precursors in import and export and production and business, to prevent drug criminals from taking advantage to produce, sale illegally narcotics. Timely detecting and completely eliminating the situation of planting trees containing narcotics in the area. Strictly managing business establishments subjected to security and order conditions, promptly detecting violations and strictly handling in accordance with law, not to let them take advantage to buy, sell, organize, harboring illegal drug use.

In addition, continuing to strengthen, consolidate and improve capacity, building up an increasingly strong, truly clean, regular, elite, modern, and responsive drug-related crime investigation police force that meets requirements and tasks in the new situation, served as the main force, the core and the spearhead in drug prevention and control. The Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs plays an important role in drug addiction prevention, detoxification and community integration support. Promoting socialization and encouraging organizations, businesses and individuals to participate in and contribute to drug prevention and control.
