Strengthening the rabies prevention

order to strengthen the prevention and control of rabies as well as to achieve
the goals of the National Program on Rabies Prevention and Control 2022 - 2030,
the Department of Health recommends the units:
To continue to fully
and effectively implement the Plan No. 1224/KH-SYT dated April 4, 2022 of the
Department of Health on the implementation of the National Rabies Prevention
and Control Program for the period 2022 - 2030 in the Binh Thuan Province.
To strengthen the close
monitoring of cases of dogs and cats suspected of rabies; propagate and mobilize
people to go to health facilities for timely examination, counseling and
vaccination against rabies; ensure sufficient rabies vaccine and anti-Rabies
serum in humans to increase people's access to rabies vaccine. At the same
time, to promote communication about the dangers of rabies as well as measures
to prevent and control rabies in humans and animals, paying special attention
to communication about not treating rabies by methods not yet approved by the
Ministry of Health.
To timely inform deaths
due to rabies so that the agriculture sector can quickly monitor and handle the
outbreak of rabies in animals.
To coordinate with
media agencies to promote propaganda on the dangers of rabies as well as
measures to prevent and control rabies so that people can promptly vaccinate
when bitten by a suspected rabies animal and vaccinate animals according to the
law; to coordinate with educational institutions in the localities to
strengthen the implementation of rabies prevention and control communication at
schools for teachers, pupils and students./.
