Strictly observing the legal provisions on hydrometeorology

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just sent a written
request to the heads of relevant departments, agencies, owners of
hydro-meteorological monitoring works and providing information and
hydro-meteorological data in the province to implement the Announcement No.
1506/TB-TCKTTV dated November 23, 2022 of the General Department of Meteorology
and Hydrology on the inspection results of the implementation of legal provisions
on hydrometeorology.
Accordingly,
the Department of Natural Resources and Environment shall strengthen the
inspection, examination, and supervision of the observance of the legal
provisions on hydro-meteorological of the relevant agencies and organizations
in the province. In particular, focusing on monitoring and urging project
owners subjected to inspection and investors of projects exploiting and using
hydro-meteorological data information to report the results on overcoming the
limitations. At the same time, strengthening coordination with relevant
agencies and units to supervise the exploitation and use of hydro-meteorological
data in investment projects for socio-economic development of the province in
accordance with the Law on Hydrometeorology. Advising the Provincial People's
Committee to promulgate the state administrative documents on hydrometeorology;
strengthening coordination with the General Department of Meteorology and
Hydrology to exchange information in a timely manner, especially for new
contents.
The
Department of Planning and Investment shall guide relevant agencies and units whenever
formulating socio-economic development programs, plannings, plans and projects
using hydro-meteorological information and data, they must ensure the clear
origin, certified by the agency providing hydro-meteorological data in
accordance with the provisions of current law and must be appraised by the
competent authorities in accordance with the provisions of the Law on
Hydrometeorology.
