Strictly strengthening the management of people coming to/from the epidemic areas

04/6/2021, La Gi town discovered people returning from Go Vap district, the
epicenter of COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City, with fever symptoms. These people
stayed at Pho Da Homestay from 22/5/2021, and were only found and isolated
after they showed signs of illness. Despite their first negative tests result
for SARS-CoV-2, this has showed the laxity in the management of people coming
to/from the epidemic area.
Facing this matter,
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just sent a dispatch
requesting the People's Committee of La Gi town to organize the lessons learned
in managing people coming to/from epidemic areas. Strictly sanctioning
organizations and individuals that violate regulations on epidemic prevention
and control and the act of not declaring the residence.
People's Committees
of districts, towns and cities shall continue to strengthen the management of
people coming to/from epidemic-recorded provinces and cities; strictly
sanctioning those who come to/return from the epidemic-recorded provinces and
cities without making health declaration. Continuing to promote the role of the
community COVID-19 surveillance teams, going to every alley, knocking every
door, checking each subject to mobilize people coming to/from provinces and
cities with epidemic to make health declaration.
From 0:00 on
06/6/2021, temporarily suspending the receiving of tourists from epidemic-recorded
provinces and cities (as announced by the Ministry of Health) to Binh Thuan. Those
on business trips must provide test results for SARS-CoV-2 that have been
recognized by a functional unit (valid results are only recorded within 72
hours from the time of sample collection). The Department of Culture, Sports
and Tourism, chairpersons of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities
shall regularly inspect and request the establishment owners to sign the
implement commitments, and sanction strictly any accommodation establishment
that do not comply. Reporting daily the implementation results to the
Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control at 02pm.
Chairman of the
Provincial People's Committee calls on people coming to/from epidemic-recorded
provinces and cities to quickly contact the nearest medical unit to make health
declaration and receive advises on measures for COVID-19 prevention and
control. “Making health declaration self-consciously and responsibility for the
health of yourself, your family and the society”.
Chairman of the
Provincial People's Committee requests the Heads of relevant agencies, units
and Chairpersons of the People's Committees of the districts, towns and cities
to implement urgently and seriously./.
