Students in grades 9 and 12 back in school after a break due to Covid-19 prevention and control

(binhthuan.gov.vn) On the morning of 04/5, more than 17,000 9th grade students and 11,000 12th grade students in the province really returned to school after a long period of temporary break for Covid-19 prevention and control.

Most schools strictly followed the instructions of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training on the measures to prevent and control Covid-19 in their campuses in accordance with the guidance of the Ministry of Health. Accordingly, the schools did not salute in front of the national flag at the beginning of the week together, but in each classroom; students self-consciously wore masks and sat 1.5m away from each other. The health status and body temperature of students were monitored regularly under the supervision of medical staff and head teachers.

 

Vo Ngoc Khanh Dan – Grade 9 student, Ha Huy Tap Secondary School said: Going back to school after a long time of Covid-19 prevention and control makes me very happy. Before returning to school, I have been fortified and added knowledge via internet and television, so I will make more efforts for those upcoming important exams.

Nguyen Duc Thang - Grade 12 student, Tran Hung Dao High School for the Gifted said: “being met teachers and friends makes me feel very happy, I will strictly abide the regulations on prevention and control of Covid-19; at the same time, I will try to foster and improve my study”.

 

In general, teachers and students in grades 9 and 12 from the province were very excited in the first day of school after a long break for Covid-19 prevention and control.

Binh Thuan is one of the provinces in the country that has chosen the plan for senior students to return to school before other classes a week to ensure the training program as well as important upcoming exams. With these set plans, the schools in the province will not only certainly perform well on the prevention and control of Covid-19 epidemic but also make efforts to complete the program to finish the school year on time which Ministry of Education and Training has adjusted.

Previously, the schools have cleaned tables, chairs and disinfected the classrooms to welcome students back to school.
