Summary Conference on Collective Economy and Cooperatives in 2022

On the morning of December 21, the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation
and Development of Collective Economy and Cooperatives held a Summary Conference
on the situation of collective economy and cooperatives in 2022. Attending the
conference, there were Mr. Ho Cong. Duong - Chairman of the Provincial
Cooperative Alliance; Members of the Steering Committee for Innovation and
Development of Collective Economy and Cooperatives of the province and
districts, towns and cities; representatives of cooperatives in the province.
According to the
Provincial Cooperative Alliance, as of December 2022, the province has 3,205
cooperative groups, 208 cooperatives and 02 unions of cooperatives, with 49,095
members. Currently, the number of permanent employees in Cooperatives and
Unions of Cooperatives is 2,542 heads. Total operating capital of cooperatives
is 3,325 billion VND, revenue in 2022 is estimated at 964.7 billion VND.
During the year, the
activities of the provincial collective economy and cooperatives are gradually
recovering. In addition to the achieved results, the cooperatives in the
province generraly are in small size in term of members; facilities, capital,
qualifications and capacity of the management staffs of the cooperatives are
still quite limited.

In the coming time,
the members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Innovation and Development
of Collective Economy and Cooperatives should promote propaganda on the
positions and roles of the collective economy and cooperatives in the economy
in order to raise awareness of cadres, party members, strata of people and the
whole political system about the Law on Cooperatives, the nature of the new
model of cooperatives...
Cooperatives must
actively improve operational efficiency, innovate management methods, attract more
young labors; proactively mobilize local resources for investment in production
and business, step by step apply digital transformation in management and
operation; actively seek out markets for the output, and provide good services
to members.
