Support on purchasing and installing Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) in the province

(binhthuan.gov.vn) The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee
has just sent a written request to the Departments, agencies and People's
Committees of coastal districts, towns and cities to implement Resolution No.
02/2022/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council stipulating regime to
support purchasing and installing fishing vessel monitoring system (VMS) in the
province.
Under the direction
of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Department of
Agriculture and Rural Development shall coordinate with the Departments, agencies
and People's Committees of coastal districts, towns and cities to organize
propaganda and widely disseminate the Resolution to all beneficiaries of the
policy, who are the owners of fishing vessels with the length of 15 meters or
more which are installed VMS equipment for supporting the procedures and
documents, ensuring close support and proper subjects, avoiding the case of
taking advantage of the policy. At the same time, to direct the Fisheries
Sub-Department to receipt and appraise the supporting applications rigorously, right
to the subjects, and fully according to the regulations; organize the
monitoring and supervision of the operation and use of VMS equipment installed
on fishing vessels in accordance with regulations of the Government, the
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial People's
Committee.
