Supporting people in difficulties due to Covid-19 epidemic according to the Government’s Resolution no 42

From April 29, La Gi town has been offering money to support local people who
have been in trouble due to Covid-19 epidemic.
In
this phase, La Gi town provided support to 5,096 people including: people with
meritorious services to the revolution receiving monthly preferential allowance
and social protection subjects receiving monthly benefits; poor households;
near-poor households in the town with a total amount of VND 6,143,250,000.
Similarly
to La Gi, from April 29, Phu Quy district also has offered money from the
support package to 1,397 people with difficulties due to Covid-19 including: people
with meritorious services to the revolution receiving monthly preferential
allowance and social protection subjects receiving monthly benefits; poor
households; near-poor households in the town with a total amount of VND
1,766,250,000
Reportedly,
to implement the Government’s Resolution no 42/NQ-CP dated 09/4/2020
on measures to support people facing difficulties due to Covid-19 epidemic, the
Provincial People’s Committee has issued a decision on distributing more than
450 billion VND to support those subjects affected by Covid-19 epidemic. The
support is funded by the local budget to pay for social security policies,
which temporary allocated to the budgets of districts, towns and cities, the
Department of Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs for supporting poor households,
near-poor households, people with meritorious services to the revolution
receiving monthly preferential allowance and social protection subjects. In
addition, the beneficiaries include individual household businesses with annual
turnover less than VND 100 million were suspended, the employees losing jobs
due to Covid-19.
Up
to now, the Department of Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs has received the
list and completed the evaluation of people with meritorious services to the
revolution receiving monthly preferential benefits and the list of social
protection subjects receiving monthly benefits; poor and near-poor households
of 10 districts, towns and cities in the province. The Provincial People’s
Committee has issued a Decision to support these target groups. The remaining
subjects, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will
continue to review and count before submit to the Provincial People's Committee
for approval in May 2020.
