Surcharge rates for passenger road transport during the Lunar New Year 2023

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued an official
letter agreeing to implement the surcharge rate for passenger road transport and
the implementation period within the condition that only carrying out 01 (one)
way passenger transport from the bus stations in Binh Thuan province to bus
stations in Ho Chi Minh City (new Eastern bus station, Western bus station, An
Suong bus station), specifically:
For
passenger transport by fixed route coaches, the surcharge shall not exceed 60%
of the current fare; applied to businesses transporting passengers by coaches
that are allowed to operate on inter-provincial routes to Ho Chi Minh City
(including vehicles mobilized by the Department of Transport). The
implementation period is from January 22, 2023 to the end of January 29, 2023
(i.e. from the first day to the end of the 8th day of the Lunar New
Year).
For
inter-provincial fixed routes from bus stations in Binh Thuan province to other
provinces and centrally-run cities and fixed intra-provincial routes (including
bus routes), the applied surcharge shall not more than 15% of the current fare.
The implementation period is from January 18, 2023 to the end of January 29,
2023.
The
Department of Transport is assigned to notify the above adjustments to the
passenger road transport businesses. Requesting passenger transport businesses to
seriously implement the surcharge rates as prescribed; submitting the
declaration of transport rates to the Department of Transport and posting their
offices and bus stations before implementation.
