Tanh Linh district sufferings by natural disasters

(binhthuan.gov.vn) According to Tanh Linh District People's Committee, in the first 6 months of 2021, there were many rains accompanied by tornadoes, thunderstorms in the district causing 02 deaths, 02 injuries and many property damages of the households in the area.

Specifically, on 21/4/2021, rain and tornado occurred partially in the area of village 4, Duc Binh commune, cracking the wall of a house; on 05/52021, rain accompanied by thunderstorms occurred partially in the area of Don My, Lac Tanh town, killing 1 person and injuring 2 others. On 06/5/2021, rain accompanied by tornadoes continued to occur partially in Dong Kho and Duc Binh communes, causing 1 house to completely blow off. On 02/6/2021, rains accompanied by tornadoes in Huy Khiem, La Ngau, Duc Phu communes blew off the roofs of 28 houses, 01 garage of the medical station, 02 motorbikes, collapsing completely 40m of fence of the People's Committee of Huy Khiem commune. On 20/6/2021, due to the heavy rain in the upstream, flood poured quickly into the downstream area, causing partial flash flood on Ta La Ngau River, killing 01 person, besides, the flood also swept away one cow of people.

Immediately after receiving the report, the People's Committee and the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue of Tanh Linh district mobilized the district rescue force to the scene timely, together with the rescue force of the communes to support people in overcoming damages caused by natural disasters in the area.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Tanh Linh district requests the District Commanding Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue and the People's Committees of communes and towns to actively monitor and receive information, weather bulletins, rain and flood warnings to promptly notify people in the community for proactive prevention; placing warning signs in dangerous areas where thunderstorms often occur, places and rivers where people often go camping or swimming to minimize damage to people and property caused by natural disasters.
