Temporary suspension of the passenger transport routes to localities recorded COVID-19

The Department of Transport has just issued a notice requesting the transport
units, enterprises, bus stations and ports in the province to continue to
suspend the operation of inter-provincial fixed passenger transport routes,
transport vehicles by contract, vehicles transporting tourists traveling from
localities in Binh Thuan province to provinces and cities announced to have
COVID-19.
Temporarily
suspending all inter-provincial and intra-provincial fixed passenger transport
routes, contract passenger vehicles, tourist transport vehicles, buses, and
taxis from Phan Thiet city and Tuy Phong district to other localities inside
and outside the province and vice versa.
For inter-provincial
and intra-provincial fixed passenger transport routes, contract passenger
vehicles, tourist transport vehicles, buses and taxis from districts and La Gi
town (except Tuy Phong district and Phan Thiet city) travelling to
epidemic-free localities (inside and outside the province), workers' shuttles
must strictly comply with the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health;
disinfecting vehicles before and after the trip; each vehicle transport must
not exceed 50% of its capacity; all drivers, service staffs and passengers must
wear facemasks; Arranging passengers to sit alternately between rows of seats,
ensuring a safe distance and mandatory medical declaration according to
regulations. Do not transport passengers who do not comply with regulations and
must not stop, pick up and drop off passengers in localities where COVID-19
epidemic has been announced.
Cargo vehicles are
allowed to transport goods to/from all localities in the country, but must
strictly and fully implement the measures for epidemic prevention and control
as prescribed.
For water transport
activities on the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route: Reducing the frequency of
passenger ships by 02 days / 01 trip in and 01 trip out; the number of
passengers must not exceed 150 people / 01 trip. At Phan Thiet Transport Port,
tickets are only sold to people living in Phu Quy district, and only those
people are allowed to board. For officers and soldiers from the mainland going
to the island to execute the security – defense, medical and other official
duties, a recommendation letter from a competent authority is required. All
passengers when purchasing tickets must present a test certificate with
negative results for SARS-CoV-2 issued by the competent health authority within
72 hours. Do not accept passengers from the provinces announced to have the
epidemic to the island.
Owners of transport
vehicles on the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route must strictly follow the epidemic
prevention and control measures: Instructing passengers to make mandatory
health declarations as prescribed; measuring body temperature and disinfecting
hands before boarding; arranging passengers alternately between rows of seats,
ensuring a safe distance; All crew members, service staffs and passengers must
wear facemasks properly throughout the journey. On the ships, it must be
equipped with hand sanitizes, disinfectant solution and trash cans with lids; disinfecting
vehicles before and immediately after the end of the trip. Do not transport
passengers who do not comply with regulations.
