The 8th Provincial-level Children's Forum 2024

On the morning of August 21, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social
Affairs coordinated with the Provincial HCYU to organize the 8th
Binh Thuan Province Children's Forum 2024 with the theme "Practical actions,
building a safe, friendly and healthy living environment for children".
Attending the Forum, there were representatives of leaders of relevant
departments, agencies, units and localities; and 100 children from 10
districts, towns and cities representing for more than 326 thousand children in
the province.
Speaking
at the Forum, Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Nhan - Deputy Director of the Department of
Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said: Children are the source of
happiness for the family, the future of the country, and the successors to the
cause of building and protecting the Fatherland. Children are increasingly
protected, cared for and educated better towards ensuring and increasingly
fulfilling the basic rights and needs of children, creating an equal
environment for all children.
At
the Forum, children were divided into several groups to discuss, contribute
ideas and recommendations around the issues: Say good words, do good deeds;
behave civilly and build beautiful friendships, say no to school violence;
children participating in preventing and combating child sexual abuse; children
participating in preventing and minimizing accidents and injuries; children
participating in protecting children in the online environment; children talking
about social evils such as e-cigarettes, drugs, gambling, game addiction,
internet addiction... and prevention measures.
On
this occasion, the Organizing Board awarded 10 scholarships to children in
particularly difficult circumstances.
Previously
on August 20, the Organizing Board made arrangement for the children to visit
and offer incense at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Binh Thuan Branch; participated
in games, exchanges, performances... in particular, be equipped with knowledge
and skills on children's rights, children's right to participate...
