of the epidemic caused by Covid-19, although Binh Thuan currently has not
recorded any case of Covid-19 infection, it has more or less affected the
operation activities of tourism businesses in the province. In order to promote
the growth of tourists to Binh Thuan in 2020 as well as up to 2023, on the
morning of 03/3, at Seahorse Resort, the Department of Culture, Sports and
Tourism coordinated with the Tourism Association to deploy the action program
to promote Binh Thuan as a safe, friendly, attractive and quality destination
with the theme “Oh Wow! Mui Ne” (Surprising Mui Ne).
The Program aims at
pushing up the communication tasks, brand promotion associated with attracting
the attention of domestic and international tourists to the destination Mui Ne
– Vietnam. The Program “Oh Wow! Mui Ne” requests tourism business, travel
agencies, attractions and service suppliers in the province to provide
promotion policies, discount from 10 – 50% (or higher) for those services such
as: transportation, accommodation, dining, sightseeing, shopping,
entertainment, sea sports, health care, coffee, souvenirs in the province
(mainly in Phan Thiet city) towards issuing 1 million VIP cards “Oh Wow! Mui
Ne” with incentives, free up to 50% in 3 years (2020 – 2023) for all services
for the domestic and foreign tourists when they come to Binh Thuan. Those
businesses participated to the Program can introduce their products and services
on promotion channels and will be insured the services by the Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Tourism Association.
The long-term
communication plan 2020 – 2022 is continuously covered via digital channels and
public promotion (PR) which contributes to the general brand recognition of the
promotion program “Oh Wow! Mui Ne” in order to control and ensure the service’s
reputation on safety, preferential prices and quality. Since then, it gives
tourists the feeling of surprise “oh” and “wow” when they pick Mui Ne – Binh
Thuan with very surprised and nowhere to be found experiences. The program “Oh
Wow! Mui Ne” targets to customers such as: family guests; guests travelling by
air with no shuttle bus; retail guests taking buses; guests travelling in group
through Vietnam and international travel agencies; international guests booking
online, etc. In addition to introducing the set of brand recognition of the
program, “Oh Wow! Mui Ne” is communicated and promoted strongly through general
media campaign such as a series of online PR articles by each theme “Oh Wow”
(10 unique check-in points, 10 resorts with the most beautiful beach view, 10
most romantic coffee shops, 10 best street foods, 10 tourism records in Mui Ne,
etc.); choosing tourism ambassadors (journalists, facebookers, youtubers, beauties,
models, singers, etc.), building images at the tourist destinations,
attractions and services such as resorts hotels, restaurants, sightseeing,
shopping, entertainment, transportation, etc.
At the Announcement
Ceremony of “Oh Wow! Mui Ne”, the enterprises have directly registered to
participate in the program through announcing the stimulus packages, discounts,
incentive policies and ensuring product quality. On this occasion, the
Organizer also issued free VIP “Oh Wow! Mui Ne” cards, thereby building up the
criteria of “Mui Ne Tourism” as safe and quality to attract potential domestic
and international markets in short-term, the coming months of 2020 and the
following years 2021 and 2022.
