The entire industrial production index in August increased by 22.99% over the same period

According to the Statistics Office, in August, the production and distribution
of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning in the province
continued to increase, contributing to maintain the increase in the production
index of the entire industrial sector of the province.
Specifically,
the production index of the entire industrial sector in August is estimated to
increase by 11.38% over the previous month and by 22.99% over the same period
last year, of which, the production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot
water, steam and air conditioning increases by 46.12%; water supply, wastewater
and garbage management and treatment activities increase by 1.12%. Contrarily,
the mining industry, the processing and manufacturing industry decrease by
33.3% and 22%, respectively;
In
August, industrial production value (according to 2010 comparative prices) is
estimated at 3,382 billion VND, up by 7.18% over the previous month and 1.97%
over the same period last year. Accumulated for the first 8 months of 2023 is
estimated to reach 26,904 billion VND, up by 4.51% over the same period last
year, of which, the mining industry reaches 1,821 billion VND, down by 4.11%;
Manufacturing and processing industry reaches 13,351 billion VND, down by
0.62%; electricity production and distribution reaches 11,569 billion VND, up
by 12.86%; water supply, wastewater and garbage management and treatment
activities reaches 162 billion VND, up by 2.68%.
