The first 9 months of 2022: The province's fishing output reaches 81.5% of the plan

From the beginning of 2022, the weather situation of our province has been
favorable, so many fishermen have participated in fishing at sea, but the price
of fuel and commodities for fishing is still high, plus the price of seafood
has increased insignificantly, so the exploitation efficiency is low. The
fishing grounds of our province's fishermen are concentrated in the coastal
areas, the waters of Con Son Island, and the Truong Sa archipelago. As a
result, in the first 9 months of 2022, our province's fishing output is
estimated at 171,140 tons, reaching 81.5% of the plan, approximately equal to
the same period last year.
From the beginning of
2022 until now, the province's aquaculture production is estimated at 9,395
tons, increased by 2.1% over the same period last year. The situation of shrimp
seed production in the province in the first months of the year is relatively
favorable, the output of shrimp seed production and consumption in the first 9
months of the year is estimated at 19.17 billion VND, reaching 76.7% of the
plan, grown by 4.1% over the same period last year. Seafood processing
activities are maintained regularly, serving sufficiently the needs of people's
consumption and export.
