Data from the Provincial Statistics Office shows that the market in January
2023 had a relatively stable growth rate, the volume of goods circulating on
the market increased sharply with diverse types and rich designs.
In
order to serve timely the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023, the grocery stores as
well as kiosks in Phan Thiet Market, Co.op Mart, Lotte mart, Vinmart, Bach Hoa
Xanh ... presented and sold all kinds of domestic and imported products with
many diverse models, ensured the quality for buyers to choose. The work of
stimulating consumer demand was strengthened.
The
functional agencies regularly and closely monitored the market movements,
especially essential commodities, well performed the work of market
organization, ensured the smooth circulation of goods, and prevented the
situation of shortage, interruption of sources or backlog of goods after Tet;
coordinated to support and create conditions for enterprises to expand their
business networks and distribution channels in order to well prepare essential
consumer goods to serve mountainous, remote, and isolated areas, Industrial
zones and Phu Quy district with reasonable price and good quality.
Accordingly,
the total retail sales of consumer goods and services in January is estimated
at 7,499 billion VND, increased by 10.6% over the previous month and 34.13%
over the same period last year; in which the total retail sales of goods
reached 4,978 billion VND, increased by 10.15% over the previous month and
22.04% over the same period last year.
