The minimum voluntary Social Insurance fee is increased from 2022

(binhthuan.gov.vn) From January 01, 2022, according to regulations on multidimensional poverty line for the period of 2021-2025 in Decree No. 07/2021/ND-CP dated January 27, 2021 of the Government, the poverty line in rural areas has increased from 700,000 VND to 1,500,000 VND/month, therefore, the level of State support for voluntary social insurance and the minimum voluntary social insurance fee in 2022 will also increase.

According to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance, the monthly payment of voluntary social insurance is equal to 22% of the monthly income selected by the participants of voluntary social insurance. The lowest monthly income selected by participants of voluntary social insurance is equal to the poverty line of rural areas as prescribed by the Prime Minister and the highest is 20 times of the base salary at the time of payment.

Currently, due to the salary reform has not been implemented in 2022, the base salary in 2022 is still 1,490,000 VND/month. Therefore, the maximum voluntary social insurance fee is: 1,490,000 VND x 20 = 29,800,000 VND/month.

When the Government adjusts the poverty line of rural areas during the period that the participants of voluntary social insurance have previously paid in the form of payment for 3 months, 6 months or 12 months, or as a lump sum payment for many years later, the participants do not have to adjust the difference in the paid amount./.
