The Ministry of Health proposes localities to speed up the 2022 spring vaccination campaign

the morning of 18/02/2022, the Ministry of Health held an online conference
with 63 provinces and cities on speeding up the 2022 spring vaccination
campaign chaired by the Deputy Minister of Health - Nguyen Truong Son.
Attending at Binh Thuan bridge, there were Vice Chairman of the Provincial
People's Committee - Nguyen Minh and representatives of the local health
sector.
According to data announced
at the conference, the Ministry of Health has allocated more than 199,853,484
doses out of a total of more than 213,462,834 doses of COVID-19 vaccine that
have been received. The rate of two primary vaccinations for people aged 18 and
over nationwide as of February 16, 2022 reached 96.4%.
The Ministry of
Health also noted to 04 localities: Cao Bang, Son La, Phu Yen and Binh Duong with
vaccination rates below 90%.
In Binh Thuan,
implementing the 2022 spring vaccination campaign from February 1, 2022 until
now, 61,673 doses have been deployed, including: 2,826 doses of 2nd shot and
51,382 of 3rd shot for people aged 18 years and over; 7,465 doses of 1st shot
for children from 12 to 17 years old.

In the coming time,
the Deputy Minister of Health suggested localities to continue to actively
inspect, urge and remind the implementation of the spring vaccination campaign.
“There are 10 days left to carry out the 2022 spring
vaccination campaign. During this time, localities should try to give booster
shots to people aged 18 and over, try to complete the primary vaccinations for
children from 12 to 17 years old", the Deputy Minister of Health stated.
The Deputy Minister
of Health also noted that localities need to further promote communication so
that people can better understand the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination, thereby
actively participating in vaccination work, especially the additional and
booster shot./.
