The Ministry of Transport has approved the investment undertakings of the project on renovation and upgrade of National Highway 28B, the section through Binh Thuan province

The Minister of Transport has just issued Decision No. 1754/QD-BGTVT on
approving the investment undertakings of the project on renovation and upgrade
of National Highway 28B, the session through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces.
Accordingly, the goal
of the project is to gradually improve the transportation system in the
provinces of Binh Thuan and Lam Dong according to the planning; reduce the risk
of traffic accidents, strengthen the regional links, satisfy the transportation
demand on the East-West corridor connecting the Central Highlands region with
the central provinces; supporting socio-economic development and tourism,
contributing to the fast and sustainable poverty alleviation and ensuring
national defense and security in the Central Highlands and Central Coast.
The project has the
starting point at Km0+000, intersecting National Highway 1A at Km1656+900, Bac
Binh district, Binh Thuan province; the end point at Km68+100 - Tahine junction
intersecting National Highway 20 at Km185+690, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province;
the length is about 69 km. Total project investment is about 1,435 billion VND
from the State budget; the project is expected to be completed in 2025.
