Department of Industry and Trade has just issued a warning regarding the import
and export of goods through the northern border gates.
Accordingly, in order
to effectively control the Covid-19 and newly arising diseases, maintain
macroeconomic stability, control inflation, promote growth, and facilitate
import and export activities, customs, avoid congestion, backlog of goods and
vehicles at border gates in the northern border provinces during the upcoming
holidays and Tet; the Department of Industry and Trade has proposed the
Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committees of
districts, towns and cities, the Management Board of the Provincial Industrial
Parks, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance, and the Binh Thuan Dragon Fruit
Association to strengthen the capture and update of information and situation from
the northern border provinces, recommend enterprises, cooperatives processing
and exporting dragon fruits in the province to actively consider and adjust the
frequency of delivering goods to the borders in accordance with the clearance
capacity of the border gates as well as strictly complying with regulations on
epidemic prevention and control.
For enterprises and
cooperatives processing and exporting dragon fruits in the province, in
addition to regularly updating the progress of goods clearance at the northern
border gates to proactively plan production, packing, forwarding, exporting
goods, avoiding congestion and other adverse impacts... it is necessary to take
the initiative in taking samples for Covid-19 testing on product packaging and
cartons; control and disinfect vehicles and goods right from the packing and
loading stage to ensure disease control; at the same time, comply with the
provisions from China in Order 248, Order 249 effective from January 1, 2022;
continue to strictly implement regulations on traceability, production codes,
packing house codes, labeling... as well as other relevant requirements to
improve product quality, and meet regulations and standards agreed with foreign
customers.
