The relic site of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's base during the
anti-American resistance war in Dong Giang commune, Ham Thuan Bac district has
welcomed more than 1,400 visitors during the Lunar New Year of the Cat 2023 and
in January 2023.
The
relic site of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee’s base during the
anti-American resistance war was ranked as provincial-level relic by the
Provincial People's Committee in 2019, with an area of more than 10 hectares
located in Sa Lon forest. This place preserves many vestiges such as: working tents,
halls, bunkers of leaders, working houses of agencies, consulting and serving units,
Hoang Cam kitchens... Here, 6 comrades of the Provincial Party Committee during
the anti-American resistance war lived, worked and led the revolutionary
movement of the provincial Party Committee. In particular, it is the place
where the typical historical events of the Provincial Party Committee took
place, such as: The memorial ceremony for President Ho Chi Minh on September 9,
1969; Provincial Party Committee Congress in July 1970; the establishment of
the Liberation Front of Binh Thuan province; the establishment congress of the
provisional revolutionary People's Committee of Binh Thuan province; the
Provincial Women's Union Congress; the Youth Union Congress of Binh Thuan
province in the resistance war against the US... Here, Binh Thuan the Provincial
Party Committee overcame many difficulties, hardships and sacrifices to lead
the army and people of the province in the resistance against the US
imperialists and henchmen, completely liberating Binh Thuan province,
contributing to the liberation of the South and reunification of the country.
After
the construction was started in January 2021, this is the first year the relic
site welcomed people. This place will be a revolutionary traditional
educational address for generations and become an attraction in tours
associated with environmental protection.
